Building Brothers Inc. was created in 2004 by Sam Pruyn & Matthew Calvo. Since its inception, BBI’s mission has been to provide superior service at affordable prices. We are committed to minimizing the burden of municipal requirements in building construction, development and maintenance. We offer comprehensive solutions for all your new and existing issues in both commercial and residential properties. The Building Brothers

Sam Pruyn gained his working knowledge of the Dept. of Buildings while filing sign permits throughout the five boroughs. He quickly became a specialist in the permit expediting field. Once he moved onto co-found Building Brothers Inc., he expanded his knowledge base to include: Alterations, Certificate of Occupancy, Demolitions, ECB Hearings & violation removal.

Matthew Calvo acquired his extensive knowledge of the Dept. of Buildings while working with a commercial architectural firm. There, he gained vast experience in filing for: Signs, New Buildings, ALT 1 & 2 filings, demolitions, plumbing and mechanical permits, fire suppression and sprinkler permits, and Certificates of Occupancy. Since co-founding Building Brothers Inc., Matthew has honed his skill both in navigating the Dept. of Buildings’ procedures and interpreting Building and Zoning code.
